Petra Terzi studied Business Administration, Classical Studies, Life Coaching, Film Direction, Writing and Film Production. Petra's films (2016-2019) have been selected in over 60 Festivals. She received awards and been a finalist in over 15 Film Festivals. "The Studio - To Belong to Yourself" - proof of concept for a feature film- is Petra's first student short film and has been officially selected in the 69th Cannes Film Festival Short Corner in May 2016.
Petra with the feature documentary “She Should Run - Cyprus” thesis film (concerning women empowerment, human rights, diversity, war victims etc) got the Master of Arts in Digital Video Production in Neapolis University in Cyprus. She co-wrote “49 Years After”. She directed the documentary “Roses Trilogy” about refugees and the disabled. Her first feature film, “Emergence”, a horror medical ethical drama, is under development as well as the inspirational film "I am Nana" based on the true story of a disabled dancer.
Petra established in USA, the profitable charitable corporation "CIF-Cultural International Festivals" (file nr C26153-03, 10-24-2003) with activities concerning new filmmakers' exposure live platform and film production in US and Europe.
She founded the Cyprus International Film Festival (2006) and the Bridges International Film Festival in Greece (2008), promoting gender equality in film.
Since 2000, Petra is a promoter, an award winning film director and producer, a high caliber events' (Kevin Costner, Michael Bolton etc) and film festivals' organizer in Greece and Cyprus with a vast professional background in industrial management, destination management services as well as in volunteerism.

Petra is a visiting professor at Communication University of China in Nanjing, a member of Greek Directors Guild, Cyprus Directors Guild and NYWIFT (Women in Film and Television in New York). She is a jurist at Jaipur International Film Festival and founder of the chapter Women In Film and Television in Cyprus (CYWIFT 2020).
